10 kg of cannabis seized in city, 2 held

Chattogram Bureau :
Police have arrested two persons with 10 kg of cannabis from the Cinema Palace intersection under Kotwali Police Station in the city.Kotwali Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nezam Uddin said they were arrested in the early hours of Thursday (March 25th) on a tip-off.
The arrested are Rashida Begum (59), daughter of late Gura Mia of Cox's Bazar and Md. Jafar Alam's son  Sarwar Kamal (22). However, another female drug dealer named Rozina Begum (38) ran away at that time.
OC Nezam Uddin said the two were arrested with 10 kg of cannabis at the Cinema Palace intersection on the way to Cox's Bazar from the Chauddagram border area. Regular drug cases have been filed against them.
