Welcome New Year 2022

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed :
One more year has passed. Farewell 2021. Forgetting all the sorrows and pains just to touch the house at 12 o'clock on the clock, Bangladesh has also welcomed the new year through various programs with the whole world. Welcome to 2022. Time flows like a current. Time can never be tied. So day after day, month, year, age after age the pages of the calendar are turned upside down. In the course of time, another new year appeared on the doorstep, flipping through the pages of the calendar. 2022 AD. Happy English New Year! Celebrated in a festive mood in almost all countries of the world. Some nations, such as the Chinese, Jews and Muslims, observe the New Year according to their respective calendars. In countries where the Gregorian calendar is used, they usually observe the New Year on January 1. Historically, the New Year began on March 1 in the Roman calendar.
Its effect is seen on a few months of the year. In Latin, September means seven, October eight, November nine and December ten. At that time, the new session of the Roman government began in January. Julius Caesar changed the calendar in 47 BC to create the Julian calendar. Emperor Apastus Caesar made another change in 7 BC after Mark Anthony's consul made one change in 44 BC. Pope Gregory the 13th, changed the calendar to its current structure in 1582. In this changed calendar, the new year begins on January 1 the English New Year, which is celebrated solemnly today, but it was not so two thousand years ago. A look back at that history. A civilization arose in Mexico in Central America.
Awesome. The name of this civilization is 'Maya' civilization. The hieroglyphic script is one of the many legends of the Maya civilization. Recently this incomprehensible script has been deciphered. As a result, there is much new about Maya The information is known. Maya's thorough knowledge of numerology, his remarkable ability to observe the movements of planets and stars, and his various origins in architecture have taken us by surprise. Maya discovered that it takes 365 days for the earth to orbit the sun. In accurate judgment this calculation was 365-2420 days. They divided this period into 18 months. The number of days in each month was 20. It is said that the calendar he invented around 650 BC had 300 days. These 300 days were divided into 10 equal parts and the number of days in the month was increased to 30. Which is the average day of the month. It can be called Romulus calendar. The first starting month in this Roman calendar was 'Martius', which means today's March. This month is named after the Roman god of war.
March 1 was the first day of the year. Julius Caesar made some corrections to this calendar in the first century BC. Eminent astronomers of the time helped him in this regard. In this calendar, the period of the Sun's orbit around the Earth is 365 days. But the number of additional days (1-4 days) is added every four years with the month of February, leaving the year 365 days. Then the number of days in the month of February stands at 28 to 29 days. This extra day is called 'Leap-Day'. And the year is 'Lipier'. This calendar was known as the 'Julian calendar'. This calendar has been in use for many years. After a long time this Julian calendar was revised and a new calendar was introduced in the market. The old calendar is known as the Gregorian Calendar in 1577 by the then His Majesty the Pope Gregory XIII with the help of two astronomers.
Guidelines from the English New Year's Government: - The number of patients infected with the new type of coronavirus Omicron is increasing worldwide. Therefore, the Ministry of Home Affairs has warned to celebrate the English New Year through indoor programmes. The letter said, "It would be reasonable to hold a limited meeting in accordance with the rules of hygiene without holding any public meetings, gatherings and religious, social and cultural events." And on the night of 31st December, at the end of one week, New Year's celebration.
The two events were also banned last year due to the coronavirus epidemic. In addition, on the eve of the English New Year, 'Thirty First Night' celebrations are also organised in various places. Due to the highly contagious coronavirus, all religious and social events and gatherings around the world are being celebrated domestically in a very limited manner. In this connection, religious ceremonies of Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists have been observed in Bangladesh as well. In this situation, the local administration and the law enforcement agencies have been asked to keep a close watch on the English New Year's Eve and to ensure security.
"Thirty First Night" is a celebration of saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming the new year. The new year is very important for the Muslim Ummah. It is the faithful believer's duty to review the past year and adopt a new one-year plan. Although we know it as the English New Year, it is not the English New Year, but the Christian or Gregorian New Year. Which is mixed with the religion and culture of Christians. It is also named after Pope Gregory, a Christian pastor. Historians say that in 46 BC, Julius Caesar first introduced the New Year celebration on January 1. Later it gradually spread all over the world. It is a natural and logical claim that religious and indigenous cultures will be confined to their respective religions and peoples of the country.
A review of history shows that Jamshid, the mighty emperor of ancient Persia, introduced the New Year in 800 BC. Later the emperor of Babylon Julius Caesar Introduced the English New Year in 46 BC. In the beginning New Year was celebrated on different dates. After the introduction of the Gregorian calendar in 1582, January 1 was designated as New Year's Day. Thirty First Night is still celebrated around the world on the occasion of the arrival of the English New Year. Its effect is especially noticeable among the Muslim youth. Significant social media such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. to wish the English New Year. Also, on this night in the mahalla mahalla or in the alleys of different cities, some well-known Muslim youths are celebrating this festival through singing, obscene dancing, setting off fireworks, blowing lanterns, DJ parties and concerts. Even in the name of celebrating this festival, free movement can be noticed among the innumerable boys and girls of the society. Any Nowruz, be it Thirty First Night, the first January or the first Muharram, is a foreign custom.
