Newly-joined DC exchanges views

Newly-joined DC of Sylhet Md Mojibor Rahman arranged an exchange of views with the leaders of Sylhet District Press Club and the leaders of the executive councils of professional organizations of print and electronic media at DC Conference Room on Tuesday. Sylhet DC presided over the meeting.  Al Azad, President of Sylhet District Press Club, Iqbal Siddiqui President of Sylhet Press Club, Ikramul Kabir, Special Correspondent of Samay TV, Secretary of Sylhet Press Club Abdur Rashid Renu, Senior Journalist, MA Hannan, Executive Editor of Daily Sylhet Bani, Faruk Ahmed, Editor of Daily Jaintabarta, Mohammad Sirajul Islam, Chamir Mahmud, General Secretary, Syed Russell, Deputy General Secretary, Misbah Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer, Sylhet Online President of the Press Club Muhith Chowdhury, Information and Technology Secretary of the District Press Club Sultan Sumon among the senior journalists spoke there.


Birth registration campaign held

Baraigram (Natore) Correspondent

The 'free birth registration' campaign for children within 45 days was held at Joaria Union Parishad premises of  Baraigram upazila on Tuesday. This meeting was presided over by UP Chairman Chand Mohammad and conducted by the Secretary Abdul Malek Sarkar. UNO  Mst. Mariyam Khatun was the Chief Guest at the meeting. Also, Principal of Ahmedpur Azam Ali Degree College SM Asad-uz-Zaman, Upazila Assistant Programmer Abdur Rahman Anshari, Lecturer Md. Abul Kalam Azad, UP Member Md. Moniruzjan and others gave speeches on birth registration. Registered children and their mothers, including members of UP, local elites were present. Later, the UNO presented clothes for the registered children.
