Fire breaks out in a slum at Tejkunipara

A massive  fire broke out in a slum at Tejkunipara in the capital's Tejgaon area on Monday evening.
Eleven units of the fire service are at the spot, trying to douse the fire. No casualties as of now, said the fire service.
Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) director (media) Shajahan Sikder said, the slum caught fire at 7:53pm.
The FSCD control room said that a fire service unit reached the spot six minutes after the blaze started. Later, 10 more units reached the spot to stop the blaze.
The fire service has no information on what caused the fire.
Shajahan said they don't have any information on casualties at the moment. They will disclose further details later.
