Schoolboy among 2 killed in Jhalakati road crash


UNB, Jhalakati :

Two people, including a schoolboy, were killed when a bus hit them at Shimultola on Barisal-Patuakhali highway under Nalchity Upazila on Thursday morning.


The deceased were identified as Turjya Bhattacharjya, son of Milan Bhattacharjya of Bakerganj area, a tenth grader of Bhutto High School and Md. Akash, a van driver. 


Md. Ataur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Nalchity Police Station, said when Turjya was talking with van driver Akash in front of his school a speedy Patuakhali-bound bus knocked  down them, leaving the duo dead on the spot.


Enraged school students and locals blocked the road for two hours demanding justice.
