Fake Harpic, Vim liquid factory unearthed at Bahaddarhat

Chattogram Bureau :
The district administration team raided a factory in Shamsu Colony in Bahaddarhat area of the port  city.
Meanwhile, a person named Abdur Rahman was caught red-handed while making fake Harpic and Vim liquid. He was later sentenced to two months imprisonment by the mobile court. About 400 bottles of fake Harpic and 200 bottles of fake Vim liquid and many chemicals were recovered.
Later these were burnt and destroyed. The drive was conducted on Sunday afternoon. Executive Magistrate Prateek Dutta led the drive. He said, during interrogation, the accused admitted that he had been making fake goods in the said factory for 6 months and supplying them to different parts of the city. A team of Chittagong Metropolitan Police assisted in the drive.
