Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has appointed Imran Hossain Tushar as acting General Secretary (GS) replacing the suspended Abu Nayeem Shohag. He has been appointed for the next three months. The decisions were made after an emergency meeting held at the BFF house on Monday.
Tushar has been working as personal secretary of BFF president Kazi Salahuddin for six years.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has formed a seven-member committee to probe allegations of falsifying financial documents -- something that FIFA brought against Abu Nayeem Shohag.
The members are four vice-presidents in Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Imrul Hasan, Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi and Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan and three executive members in Zakir Hossain, Satyajit Das Rupu and Ilias Hossain.
Abdus Salam Murshedy, BFF's senior vice president and finance committee chairman, said Nabil will chair the investigation committee.
Murshedy informed that in addition to FIFA's ban, Shohag has been suspended for life by BFF, and that other individuals will also be punished if found guilty by the probe committee.
World football's governing body FIFA on Friday suspended Shohag for two years with a fine due to forgery and falsification.
