Doa mahfils held for Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury

Doa mahfils across the country were held for Zafrullah Chowdhury, a veteran freedom fighter and founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
After Asr prayers, special prayers were held at Dhanmondi Nagar Hospital and Gonoshasthaya Kendra in Savar, followed by an iftar mahfil on Tuesday.
Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Professor Altafunnesa, Trustee Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Trustee Sandhya Roy, Executive Head Monzur Kader, Zafrullah Chowdhury's daughter Bristi Chowdhury, son Barish Hasan Chowdhury, Dr Zafrullah's brother Col (Retd) Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, ex-ambassador Nazimullah Chowdhury, sister Professor Aleya Chowdhury, Professor Dr Brig Gen (Retd) Mamun Mostafi, Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Professor Dr Mohibullah Khondaker, Director of Gonoshasthaya Nagar hospital Professor Badrul Huq  along with Zafrullah Chowdhury's family and other eminent personalities, doctors, and well-wishers joined the events to pray for the salvation of his departed soul, said a press release issued by press advisor of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Jahangir Alam Mintu.
